Cani-Gut is a daily pre- and probiotic powder: probiotics for dogs and cats in a form you simply mix into food. It supports everyday digestion and steadier stools, including through a change of food. Each gram holds 10 billion live cultures, so a small dog's 2 g serving has about 20 billion. Each serving also has the prebiotic fibre those cultures feed on, five digestive enzymes, and fermented moringa, milk thistle and asparagus. Mix it into one meal a day.

How much to give

Mix into one meal, once a day.

What's inside, per 100 g

• Probiotics, 10%: dried, fermented cultures of Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Bacillus and Saccharomyces, at 10 billion CFU per gram. Bacillus and Saccharomyces handle stomach acid well, so more of them reach the intestine.
• Prebiotic, 5%: fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), the fibre the good bacteria feed on.
• Digestive enzymes, 10%: amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase and lactase, produced by the cultures as they ferment.
• Fermented plant extracts, 35%: moringa, milk thistle (silymarin) and asparagus.
• Vitamins: A, C, D3, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, folic acid and biotin.
• Minerals, 5%: calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, iron, selenium and iodine.
• Amino acids, 1%: L-lysine, DL-methionine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan, L-arginine and taurine. Cats need taurine in their diet.

What to expect

Every pet is different. Stools often settle in the first one or two weeks. Appetite and energy tend to follow, and changes to skin and coat take a month or more. If nothing has changed after a month, message us, and talk to your vet.

What Cani-Gut won't do

It won't fix allergies, anxiety, infections or illness. Constant paw licking, scratching, vomiting, blood in the stool, or diarrhoea lasting more than a day or two all need a vet. Cani-Gut is a supplement, not a medicine. Use it alongside your vet's care, never in place of it, and keep giving anything your vet has prescribed.
